What in the world does your team name mean?
We decided on Team Turnagain for two reasons:
Chase lives on Turnagain Arm, an arm of the Cook Inlet, in Alaska. Turnagain Arm was named by an expedition led by the world-famous explorer Captain Cook while he was searching for the Northwest Passage in 1778. After sailing up the Cook Inlet his ship turned east, but when he realized that he was in an arm of the Inlet he was forced to "turn again". Turnagain Arm is an amazingly beautiful location, but also is a scene of adventure: the mountains surrounding it host some of the best skiing in the state, and the constant breezes are a treat for kitesurfers. Turnagain Arm is also one of only two locations in North America that possess a bore tide, which can be six feet tall and travel up to fifteen miles per hour; Turnagain Arm also has the largest tidal differential in the United States, with a mean of thirty feet.
In addition to being Chase's home, Turnagain is an appropriate team name for one other reason: Much like Captain Cook in Alaska, on our route to Mongolia we will certainly get lost, and on many occasions we will certainly be forced to turn again.

so what does "Team Turnagain" have to do with pirates?
Nothing. We just like pirates.
